El Centro de la Esperanza

Groups for Spanish Speaking Adults

El Centro de la Esperanza is a program that assists and supports Spanish speaking adults who have experienced the death of someone close.

Grief is a natural process after a death. It hurts when someone dies, but allowing yourself the time to grieve will eventually ease the pain. Grief is challenging and takes many forms. Grief can be physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Grief is not a problem to be solved, it is a process to be lived.

La Esperanza groups provide a safe place where adults can meet to share memories, express feelings, adapt to the changes in their lives, and learn how to support their grieving children. Each person needs to grieve in their own way. When a significant person in your life dies, sharing feelings can assist you in the grieving process. Many people find that they benefit from being with caring others who are available to listen to their feelings and provide support.
