Coming September 2025

Grieving the death of someone close to you?

You are not alone.

We provide a comfortable space, community, and support for children, adults, and families.

Grief is a universal experience, but support makes all the difference. Founded in Los Angeles and expanded to New York City in 2025, OUR HOUSE has provided grief support, education, and resources to children, teens, and adults for over 30 years. With over 100,000 individuals served, we’ve become a leading resource for the community. Our evidence-based programs recognize the diverse ways people grieve, ensuring inclusive and meaningful support.

Get Support

Grief is hard, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

Our grief support groups provide comfort, connection, and understanding for children, teens, and adults. In these nurturing spaces, connections form and the healing process begins. We offer a Family Support Program and Adult In-Person and Virtual Groups. Groups are formed by age of the griever and their relationship to the person that died and are co-led by trained Volunteer Group Leaders.

Fill out our short service request form and schedule a 15-minute call with us. During the call, we will learn more about you and share about our programs. Our programs are available on a sliding scale from $1 to $50 per session.

I never thought I could speak about my wife’s death or cry. In this group I was given the opportunity to feel, and they welcomed me without judgement. I have learned that grief is forever, I am grateful to this program and their experience with grief, I can say I am walking towards acceptance.

Each relationship in our lives holds a different place in our hearts – and when we lose someone, that relationship shapes how we grieve.

Our experienced clinical team will work to place you in an intentionally designed group, connecting you with others who are experiencing a similar type of loss, at a similar life stage.

A widow navigating single parenthood faces new daily challenges. Someone grieving a sibling deals with changing family dynamics. Parents who’ve lost a child experience a type of grief that defies natural order.

Within each relationship type, we thoughtfully match group members by age. By matching people based on both relationship and life stage, we create groups where members understand each other’s practical challenges, social changes, and emotional journey. This can create deeper connections and more relevant support.

Everyone is at a different point in their grief journey. If our groups are not the right fit for you at this time, our team will do our best to refer you to other supports and services.

OUR HOUSE’s volunteers and their support group were invaluable to me in helping me better understand my grief, find coping mechanisms, and find a safe place to be sad and find my way again.

The Impact of Our House

It was absolutely life changing and I would not have been able to get through that first year. OUR HOUSE will give you a home and it will give you a safe spot to talk about your grief. It will give you people who get it and help you find your people – and these people will likely be in your life for a very long time.

OUR HOUSE is a blessing. I have been struggling for some time following the death of my parents. After a few months at OUR HOUSE I knew this was the place I was looking for. I am a better person and able to deal with my grief in both my personal and professional life. I’m so grateful for OUR HOUSE.

Help Bring this Movement to NYC

We are focused on raising $5 million to enable our doors to open in 2025 and bring back a free-standing center with a full scope of support. Your contributions will help us provide vital grief support services, community education, and resources for those who need it most.
