This week’s mass shooting in Las Vegas has left us heartbroken again. This on the heels of recent devastating natural disasters. Today, Thursday, we were engaged in an on-site grief response session with 200 attendees for a large company that experienced the death of a beloved employee who was killed in the Las Vegas shooting.
We have provided partnership to our Las Vegas grief support center colleagues, plus referrals, interviews, and support. As you know by now, there were many Southern California victims.
One of many things that was so disheartening was pulling out our resource on helping children cope when tragedy impacts our community, and seeing that we did not even need to edit one word.
For me, I embrace the solace of knowing the impact of our work to help our local grievers, and to putting healing energy into a broken world. While it can never be enough in the face of the pictures and stories and realities we are encountering, we are part of the response.
