Adult Grief Support

The Dinner Party

The Dinner Party is building a community of 21–45-year-olds who have each experienced the loss of a parent, partner, child, sibling, other close family member, or close friend.

Motherless Daughters

Weekly, live support group calls with Hope and other women who “get it”. Virtual and in-person retreats and support groups with Hope and experienced facilitators.

HOPE Connection Foundation

The mission of HOPE Connection is to help people whose lives have been touched by the death of a loved one – by providing individual and group support, educational programs and information that helps alleviate the pain of grief and promote healing.

Bereaved Parents USA

Bereaved Parents of the USA was founded in 1995 by a group of bereaved parents from across the country to offer support, understanding, encouragement and hope to fellow bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents after the death of their loved one. This purpose remains the thrust of BPUSA today.

Jonathan’s Giving Tree

Jonathan’s Giving Tree provides funding for low income families to assist in burial services of children ages 12-24 in the county of Orange.  Weekly grief support groups for parents. In addition, we are in the process of providing counseling for families and sibling support groups.

New Hope Grief Support Community

Mission is to help bereaved children and families find hope and healing through connection and support.  We understand that after someone dies it can bring feelings of isolation and loneliness and most people don’t know where to turn. New Hope offers community-based programs led by people who genuinely care and have experienced a death themselves. Together, through peer support groups, family camps, community groups, and dinner parties we offer an opportunity to share experiences and feelings in a safe environment free of judgment.  Our vision is to see bereaved children and families with strong support systems living good and flourishing lives after loss.

Actively Moving Forward

Actively Moving Forward® (AMF), a HealGrief® program, is a national network created in response to the needs of grieving young adults. For over a decade, we have connected, supported, and empowered grieving young adults to “actively move forward” in memory of their person.

Loved Ones Victim Services (LOVS)

LOVS is a non-profit organization that provides much needed counseling services to victims of crime and their family members. We provide services such as individual, group and family counseling, art therapy, client outings, grief coaching, and other events to support victims of crime.

Alzheimer’s Los Angeles

Providing FREE education and support for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias and their caregivers. Support groups in various languages.

HFC

HFC connects with people of all ages and backgrounds through original content, in-person events, and virtual gatherings – empowering them to care for their brains, talk to their friends and loved ones about dementia and reach out for assistance through our respite care grants and support programs.

Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors

The Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors was created by survivors for survivors. As a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit, we provide online healing support and other services for people who are coping with devastating loss to suicide. Our online forum operates like a 24/7 support group. Our website contains support resources and information on the survivor experience.

At Dougy Center, you will find support, resources, and connection before and after a death.

Eluna

Supporting Children and Families Impacted by Grief or Addiction. Offers Camp Mariposa, a year-round addiction prevention and mentoring program for youth affected by the substance use of a family member. Also offers Camp Erin, the largest national bereavement program for youth and families grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Camp Erin supports children, teens, and families through in-person day and overnight sessions and online programs.

Empower Her

empowerHER® is an international nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults who have experienced the loss of a parent. Programs are aimed to remind the children that they are not alone in their grief, and help show them that loss is survivable. All empowerHER programs are nontherapeutic, community-based, and volunteer-driven.

Wild Grief

At Wild Grief, we merge peer support with the healing power of nature. We’ve witnessed countless transformations as people engage with their grief in a natural setting alongside others on similar journeys. Simply walking together, being under the trees, and doing reflective activities leads to release, relief, and rootedness. By offering free, outdoor experiences for teens, young adults, families, and all-ages groups, we help more people find a place where they can remember, process, and discover a path to healing.

Taking Time

Taking Time support groups offer the opportunity for the bereaved to be with others who have experienced the death of a loved one or person who was important in their lives.  Members meet on a regular basis and find that they are not alone. This common bond provides the opportunity for the group members to express feelings, listen, share, and learn from each other in a confidential and comfortable setting. Individual bereavement support is offered to those who are experiencing grief after a death or anticipatory grief related to a terminal life-threatening illness.

MISS Foundation

Welcome to the MISS Foundation’s website where you will find quick access to counseling resources, advocacy information, research on traumatic grief, education for healthcare providers and community members, and support services for those grieving the death, or impending death, of a child. This is also the home of the Selah Carefarm and the beloved 50 rescued animals who help traumatically bereaved families from around the world every day.

The Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement 

APLB’s mission is to promote and expand the field of pet loss and grief support by providing pet family support services and resources that honor the human/animal bond. Pet Loss Partners

Mission is to provide kind, compassionate emotional support for individuals, couples, and families who are anticipating or experiencing the loss of a beloved pet. An equally important aspect of the work of PetLoss Partners is educating and providing support to animal care/veterinary care providers in areas including, but not limited to, Compassion Fatigue, Self-Care Strategies, Communicating with Grieving Pet Parents, Communication within the Practice/Agency, and Creating a Compassionate Practice.
